Non reflective films
Colour Stable films have no reflective qualities. When installed on the internal side of glass they are less reflective than actual glass. In the attached photos below it is the glass itself which is reflecting.
The traditional way of manufacturing non reflective films is to load a lot of dye on to the film in the manufacturing process (this is still done today by some Manufacturers) However these films are not as clear to look out of as 3M’s Colour stable films and the dyes tend to break down fairly quickly - often giving a purplish look to the glass. When this ocurrs the film is no longer working to it's full extent.
